Diabetes Handbags & The Private Design Room

Friday, June 22nd, 2012

Don’t you feel special when you get exclusive access to something not everyone does? I LOVE it. I mean who doesn’t like to feel like they’re getting into something that is secret and private? Maybe it’s my inquisitive child inside, but I love it. Enter ‘Krymson’ our newest addition, a collection of Diabetes Handbags

So in case you didn’t know, I’m working on several new additions and changing some things around these days, and one of them is the introduction of our Handbag collection ‘Krymson’. While the collection may not be for everyone, it is for you if you want a beautifully styled utility style bag that can hold ALL of your daily stuff…including your d-supplies. This diabetes handbag collection will be durable, strong yet beautiful and stylish.  Priced a bit higher than our clutches and wristlets, it will be the bag you go to when you need to carry larger wallets, more stuff, your tablets, supplies, even an extra pair of flat shoes..(cause you never know when the feet will need a break :)

In the design phase now I hope to have pieces available just in time for the holidays. Another new addition is the adding of a Mini-BP..small back pack. Perfect if you need a hands free way to keep your supplies, but don’t want an over the shoulder bag. Or if you happen to just like back packs the Mini BP will do the trick. Still in prototype phase, we’re hoping to roll this one out by 2013.

But back to the exclusive access peek at the first bag from Krymson…I made a video showcasing my very rough sample…if you wanna see it, you can request a private showing. Now mind you…this is a very rough peek…the final product will be smashing…but my sewing/gluing skills not so much, so keep that in mind :) Request your invite HERE!

~~~~~
And just in time for the Summer Swelter..a mini collection of 2 new bags to take us into our big Fall Collection. Available for Pre-Order at the shop, a great design for ladies and for little guys!
Hoot Deluxe Diabetes Clutch
Sunday, June 19th, 2011
The Hoot deluxe diabetes clutch is on its way, and wow the pre-orders and the feedback has been amazing. So this leads me to believe that securing some sponsors for giving some of them away should be a breeze…should being the key word here.  I’ve never had to pitch for sponsorship, so I’ll be doing my research and hoping I can get the gist of it.  Hey if you have any experience with sponsorship and what is involved I’d entertain your experience or your feedback on how to get this project going.
The idea I have for now is to do one giveaway a week for 2 months or so.  So as I go and scout out some sponsors I open up your suggestions for sponsor ideas. Who would you like to see as a sponsor? Is there a product or service you’d like to try out? Let’s hear em!
Uugh ok I’m thinking here..see the blue smoke?
Monday, June 6th, 2011
When you have a spouse who is gone for 6 months at a time.
You have a lot of time to think, and a lot of time to let your mind
wander through it’s tunnels and caves.  Lately my mind is on a rampage…
well lemme rephrase. My mind is on an ever-searching voyage.  With
my husband retiring from the Navy in just over 4 years, it has been
my promise to him that when that time comes, he can take some time
and really figure out who he is without the Navy and not immediately
jump back into another job or career. I think after 20 years (15 of it together)
I can at least give him that.
This means that financially we’ve gotta have our schtick together…more
importantly I’ve got to have my schtick together.  Because truth be told, my
husband is the money maven in the house…me…well let’s just say I’m still
learning….. And moving on.
While putting it out there with my V.I.P.S Circle, and trying to transform my
business, it’s becoming obvious that I have to clearly define the purpose and
what I’m trying to accomplish.
Sounds easy enough right? But uugh it’s so hard to get it right, and get others around you
on board. I struggle with this, but I’m not gonna give up. I know what I’m doing
means something…to someone.  And eventually it will grow and flourish…
This is where I am, I’m striving to be the bread winner of my household…I’m trying
to get there in less than 5 years. I plan on doing it with my company Stick Me Designs…and
I hope you’ll come along for the ride…especially if you like roller coasters.
More stylish diabetes bag…Hooray!
Saturday, April 30th, 2011
So far I’m calling them the Stick Me Satchel and they’re the newest designs to arrive for all of the stylish, savvy types out there. About half the size of the messenger, the Satchel is a great design for younger  pumpers and stickers or more experienced stickers and pumpers alike.  With tons of pockets and a separate supply area makes the Satchel the perfect solution  those light days, or for little ones to carry.
While the Satchel is being released very soon, you can also choose from various re-prints of the New Deluxe, now featuring more pocekts, placeholders and overall more room. More prints will be released in the coming months…it’s all about modern savvy style and most importantly function for your crazy busy lifestyle.
Gettin’ Love from ‘Diabetic Living’ for our Diabetes Bags
Friday, November 19th, 2010
Did you see it yet? I’m pretty excited about it, Diabetic Living has featured Stick Me Designs in their Winter 2010 edition this year, and I’m flattered beyond words.  This is the second time Diabetic Living has featured my company within it’s delictable pages, and I’m a proud mama. My little ‘baby’ is growing up and the all the solo effort and hard work is paying off. But humbly I do have to include none of this would ever be possible without any of my friends, customers, Twitter followers and Facebook fans. So BIG THANK YOU to you!
The holiday season is upon us and I can’t believe that Thanksgiving is already next week. Talk about unprepared…that’s un understatement. But I’m taking this time to realize that time is ticking by, and that I will jump on my Holiday shopping, and charity efforts this year, because there is still lots of people out there doing without this year. It’s a duty we all share, to take care of those we can and help them how we can.
My efforts this year include giving some more supplies to my local diabetes clinic in Chesapeake, VA.  The holidays may get extra tough when gifts are pushing there way past the supplies bill…certainly something to think about.
So thanks again for stopping by, if you ever have a question or comment for me please contact me!
For the Small Diabetes Stuff…But there’s only 2
Friday, October 1st, 2010
What’s perfect for carrying just the small stuff and comes with a matching bio flip? A Stick Me Pocket of course! And just because I know you love things that match these two styles: Groovy Blue and Onyx Jungle come with…matching bio flips! I have two available that were on a promotion tour.
Imagine how bright and happy you’ll look when you whip out your colorful Stick Me Pocket and matching bio flip, instead of the awfully terrible black nylon downer ?
There is only 1 Groovy Blue & 1 Onyx Jungle…Each set is $25, if you’d like one of them see below…
If you gotta have one  simply leave a comment with which one you’d like, shoot me an email at info{at}stickmedesigns.com! The first 2 comments with their choice, get’s em.   I won’t put them up at the shop, since I’m sure they’ll go super fast, and I’d hate to have to tell someone they’re pocket is gone.
The JuicyD Collection & You as an Official Re-Seller
Tuesday, September 28th, 2010
If you’ve followed any of my Stick Me Designs collections in the past few years you know that I:
1) Love color and cater towards colors that are upbeat, and prints that aren’t scared to be seen.
2) I enjoy letting my customers decide on what colors and prints will be available next.
3) Like to change collections up often to get as many of my customers a chance to ‘fall in love’… and give in to a new Stick Me design…I’ve heard it’s my super power but that’s to be debated :)
So the newest collection called ‘JuicyD’ is certainly no exception. With super bright delicious colors to choose from this Limited Edition collection is sure to please those who long for brightly colored textures, and love attention.
The lineup: –>> Juicy Magenta; Juicy Banana; & Honey.  Another thing I like to do for my customers is offer pre-ordering of my diabetes accessories and bags.  Because the demand for my designs is increasing every season and colleciton, some collections sell out much faster than expected. And while the early birds tend to get the design they want, those who wait sometimes miss their bag.
But with pre-ordering you can ensure your bag will find its’ way to you.  I’ve opened up pre-ordering again for this Limited Edition of bags, as an added incentive to grab yours now, and just in case you’re a true early Holiday shopper. And according to my contractor the new collection is set to arrive next week! Half of the Juicy Mangenta bags have found a home, so if you’re considering grabbing a JuicyD bag…stop on by and swipe yours today.
Another cool happening is the Stick Me Reseller Project.  This is my effort to meet the growing demand locally here in the states and abroad for my designs. Still in its infancy I have a UK reseller who just received her order a couple of weeks back and is already getting inquiries about her ‘exclusive’ designs.  Yup exclusive designs. If you decide you’d like to give being a Reseller a shot, you can have the choice to carry exclusive designs that can only be purchased through you!  It’s just another added bonus of becoming a reseller and carrying Stick Me Designs accessories.
You can even opt for a package that includes your first wholesale order of bags, a custom built 3-5 page website, business cards and/or marketing materials to pass around! Or if you’d just like the bags you can go that route too. It’s super easy to get started… CLICK HERE if you’d like more details, and I’ll contact you with more information.
So ending this post up, I’d like to thank all of you following me on Twitter and who are fans over on Facebook! The community there is remarkable and I continue to learn what you all want and what you expect from me. Thank you Again!
Stylish Diabetes Accessories and the People Who Love ‘Em
Tuesday, May 11th, 2010
I think my customers are simply fabulous! It is their encouraging words, their incredible strength that makes all the struggle, and enormous amount of time I put into my business so worth it. So I thought it would be nice for a change to share some of my most recent feedback with all of the visitors who make their way here.
There may even be a picture or two…Enjoy and if you have any feedback, comments or ‘hello’s’ go ahead and comment :)
customer pictureNow on with the Good Stuff!
****** I got {my bag} in last week and LOVE it.  It fits in my purse for normal day-to-day but came in super handy on Saturday.  I had to travel to NYC for a concert and didn’t want to have my big, bulky bag with me.  I was able to carry all my testing supplies, some glucose tablets,… and my ID and cash!  It was perfect.  Thanks so much for a product that’s sure to stay handy in my life.  I’ll be posting about it on my own blog very soon - www.singlewhitediabetic.com ******* ~Rebecca  {Thank you for your feedback Rebecca}
******I am 32 and just found out last Thanksgiving that I have type 1 Diabetes!  It was such a shock, and when I started to look around for cases and bags to carry my supplies in, I found boring bag after boring bag.  I Googled “stylish diabetic bags” and I came across your site.  I am so glad that I did!  It was refreshing to see that I wasn’t the only one that thought there just had to be something more lively, fun and functional all at the same time!  I am going on my first long trip away from home and have to carry more supplies than normal, and the jet setter couldn’t look to be more perfect :)   Thank you for creating things that are sure to make people smile while dealing with something so tough everyday! Warmest regards,  Ambyr Freeman*******  {Thank you Ambyr for your awesome feedback}
*****I found you when I was googling cases for diabetes. Love what you came up with and wanted something different than the ugly black cases. Karyn  ***** {Thank you Karyn for your comments}
*****Thanks. My doctor actually referred you, here in Boston MA. I was diagnosed with Type 1.5 diabetes or LADA – and so I don’t need a ton of the room for the stuff that people with type 1 need. She told me your carrying cases would be perfect!  Turns out she was right.  Best, Rachael****** {Fabulous Rachael, You & Your Endo are the Bestest}
*****I just love your products!  I don’t know if you are open to suggestions or not, but if you can get one for a demo, you might want to try photographing some of your larger cases with insulin pens. I found your site when looking for cases that would fit my pens.  I  use the Novalog ones from Nova Nordisk. I think they are the largest of the various prefilled pens. I was only able to find one other product besides yours that was long enough, and it is horribly medical-looking. Your products would have real appeal to others in my situation.  Thanks again. I am very excited and can’t wait to get my order. I have a number of diabetic friends, and can’t wait to show them your unique cases.  Kimberly****** { Great suggestions Kimberly..Great feedback thanks}
*****Rickina,
Thank you so much for all your help with my order.  I like the fabric and look forward to receiving my order.  I will refer others to you when ever anyone asks about my beautiful bags. I will be sure to put my name inside as I just lost my last meter while traveling.  So nice talking to you too. Nancy***** (Thank you Nancy}
*****I just received the deluxe bag and bio flips i ordered from you for my daughter and i just wanted to say thank you very much. She was delighted with it, it is such a refreshing change from the ordinary black cases. The packaging and note was very much apprechiated. Thanks again. Philip (The UK)*****  {Thanks Philip, hope your daughter enjoys her case}
*****Hi Rickina
Thank you so much for my bag, I received it today and it was well worth the wait, I love it! I was quite surprised by the size as it was slightly smaller than I was expecting but I think that was because my old one is so big and bulky but its fab and it fits all my bits in perfectly and fits in my many handbags!
Thanks once again and take care.
Suzanna***** {You’re most welcome Suzanna}
