Well sort of. I’ll be make my very first trip to California in February and I’m super psyched.  I’m going to be attending and possibly participating in the Diabetes Expo taking place in Santa Clara, CA!  Although I’ve never attended or participated in a trade show such as this, I’m hoping to meet wonderful folks out there, and just really get the Stick Me Designs brand and name out there even more.

Slowly and steadily is how I’m looking to grow. Not looking for instant fame or overnight success, but more like the tortoise of the business model. You know slow, steady and suredly. 

If you’ll be there, or you’ll be a vendor please stop by and say ‘hi’.  I’d love to meet people who so far have only existed within the confines of the virtual world.

So, February 2, 2008 Santa Clara, CA Diabetes Expo, 10 am to 3pm. But I’ll be there Friday night, Saturday and leaving Sunday morning.

Have you ever come across a moment in something when it seems like you’ve finally started peddling down the right path?  I think I had a moment like that last week.  I’m a regular subscriber to the Springwise newsletter, a weekly listing of great business ideas, trends and overall grouping of really good ideas. 

I try to keep up with my website traffic with a web meter so that I can see how people find my shop and learn about my customer more.  Well last wednesday my stats shot up to over 1400 hits!!  A super major increase from my norm of about 500 or so a day, it’s like more than double. 

So I started to scan it to figure out why.  And ‘Bam’ there it was a feature from Springwise!!!  Yes my company Stick Me Designs was featured in the Lifestyle and Leisure section for the week of December 12th**Unbelievable, and so when I checked my email there it was my company back in my email box! 

How Uber Kool is that???

Remember a couple of posts ago I mentioned that Stick Me Designs was to be featured in Times Square on the ‘Big Screen’ well I wasn’t just pullin’ your leg. I’ve got proof now*  No kiddin’.

See look there we are! Our picture in lights!  How fabulous is that?  Now we’re ready to take over the world…well maybe not yet, but hey I figure Times Square…That’s got to be a good start*

As things are getting going and trying to gain momentum in the business side of things, I’ve been a press release submitting nutcase.  I’ve sworn to try and get more organic features and press so that I will not waste my hard-earned money on wasteless advertising.  So day after day I do Google, Yahoo and other searches just to see where I’m popping up at, and it’s crazy to see how far your name will be and how it got there.  The internet makes the world a small, small place. 

So if you’re out Googling, or Yahooing and you come across us somewhere that you think we haven’t noticed or found drop us a comment! 

well after going back and forth on whether to take the leap and hire a web designer (again) to code and perfect my website I decided to do it. In the end I settled on the fact that my new company means too much to me to not do it. So I enlisted the web design coding of Denise from Posh Daisy.  Not only is my site up and running but it looks fan-tas-tic!  Her and the team that worked with me were so accomodating, because I actually wanted to stay true to my original site give or take a few things here and there, and they were totally on board.  All said and done my site took less than 2 months to complete, and the service from them was excellent, while offering services that most web design guru’s charge your first born for, they happily offered FOC!  Muah… just a great overall experience, I’d recommend them whole heartedly* 

We’re workin’ our little hiney’s off trying to spread the word about Stick Me Designs and all of our upcoming styles and designs we’ve got in store for savvy diabetics, and it looks like things are starting to get around and word is traveling.  Friday December 7th, we had the opportunity to be featured on one of the largest LCD screens in the world located in Times Square, NY!! 

Fabulous news and we’re so super excited about it, so we wanted to share the news with all of our current and soon-to-be customers.  On Monday the 10th we should be getting a photo of the image that was up, so all of our friends can see it.  And if by chance you were actually there, please please share what you saw! We loved to hear what you have to say*  

So we’re embarking on month two of going live with Stick Me Designs, and I have to say I cannot believe the response so far. I’ve ‘launched’ businesses before with slight luke warm results, and I mean really luke warm, maybe even cold, maybe even frigid if you will.  But I guess until I find what is my path it will be like that. 

But with the launching of Stick Me Designs it’s been a constant stream of busy. Yes busy, and it has been fabulous.  In fact I’m running super low on my supply of this first collection.  So I thought I would post where we are at in getting some new designs up and loaded, or at least pictures so you may all get an idea or feel for the new collection. 

Because of the busy holiday season it’s looking like the collection will not be ready till Jan ’08 but you will not be disappointed when they arrive. I’ve sourced some super fabulous materials and textured prints and I’m very psyched about it.  If you have not already joined the Sentinel you need to, because those lucky ladies will know about my launch first, and get to see what styles will be available. 

And today marks the first day of my NEW LIVE WEBSITE!!! Yup, I’ve finally got all the kinks worked out, well at least Denise has of Posh Daisy, and we’re super excited to get it out there and get all of your feedback.  No you’re not seeing things, it looks just a lot like my other site give or take a few things, but I really fell in love with my design, and didn’t want to really go into details to change it much. So feel free, to go and check it out and let me know what you think!
