February 18, 2012 at 1:44 pm , by Stick Me
If you’re new hear you may not know that in addition to Stick Me Designs I also am an on again/off again crafter jewelry maker, and overall craft junkie. I can’t help it, I see something an in an instant I’m thinkin’ ‘How can mama make that’?
Well it seems that the itch tends to spill over into my webstore occasionally and viola some jewelry will emerge. In the past I’ve worked with other local artists to help fill orders, and sometimes I’ll do them myself. Well I have a few ‘samples’ that I’d like to giveaway to some pretty awesome folks! Is that you by the way?
Well here is a list of ‘Type’ specific pieces I have:
* a ‘Diabetic Type 2′ Sterling Silver tag(measures 1″ by 1/4″) with Red Glass Drop on a Sterling Chain.
* a ‘Type 1 Diabetic’ Sterling Silver tag (measures 1.5″ x .75″ – just smaller than a dog tag) on a black ball chain.
* a brass ‘LADA’ tag (almost 1″ by 1/4″) on a brown ball chain.

Do Bright Happy Colors Really Matter….
February 3, 2012 at 3:31 pm , by Stick Me
I’d like to take a moment and share with you why I think bright happy colors do matter especially for people who live with diabetes. Now before you roll your eyes this is absolutely not a post on how if you stare at the color yellow or orange for 25 minutes every day you’ll be cured of diabetes. Because we know that crazy talk is exactly that…crazy and quite silly really. But here is what I’m sharing. When I was dealing with sticking myself 4 times a day and dreading the next experience shortly after I just completed it.
I can remember it vivdly. I was working part time at Microsoft Adcenter and I’d start to see all the words on the monitor run together and I’d feel foggy and out of it. I’d glance down to my purse and see the black eyesore staring back at me. Realizing that I’d need to grab it to check my levels and then plan accordingly…sigh…I was never really out loud about my diabetes because I was new to it, and was afraid what people would think. So I’d grab my bag in spy-like fashion and head to the bathroom.
But my story changed if only slightly when I made my first bright happy diabetes carrying case. Not only did I perk up before grabbing my bag, but I wanted to show it off. My spirits were raised and I felt better about taking care of myself…it really was a spirit lifter. Mind you I’m sensitive to colors (and shiny if you ask the Hubbs) but my little bit of happy did that for me. It made me even a little happy, and at the time it is and was exactly what I needed.
If you’re not affected by bright happy colors then it probably doesn’t matter to you, but if a splash of color gives you a little boost, then Stick Me Designs accessories are a fabulous fit for you.

FASHION FOR A CURE- For each item sold, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Diabetes Research Institute. Help us find a cure.
Check these out, can you say great gift ideas?!
Diabetes Jewelry for Guys | & What’s a Stick Me Sample sale?
November 11, 2011 at 4:46 pm , by Stick Me
I know there are some manly guys out there that know they need to wear an alert bracelet but I hear ya….you don’t want the same ole medical bracelet right? Perfect because you’re right here right now and you’re in luck. My brain is constantly in motion looking for ways to make living with diabetes less medically depressing. Because let’s face it…diabetes can take a big finger to the sky right? But in any case you still gotta take the proper measures to stay in the best form, and wearing an alert bracelet is one of those measures.
So maybe the big crazy metal chain links isn’t your thing…and absolutely beads and stuff is outta the question. So here’s my take on the guys guy bracelet. It’s constructed of 550lb paracord. You know the cord that the military types use for all their tying needs while deployed and in combat. It’s tough, durable and it’s the stuff men are made of
Let me know if I’m remotely getting close on this one guys…and ladies we’re talking great gift idea here..hint…hint
In other developments, in addition to it being that time of year when you start changing up your look and refreshing things some. We here in the Stick Me Designs hub aka my
home office, are preparing for another collection launch, see picture for sneek peek. And for the clearing of samples…It’s the Stick Me Sample Sale! it’s something that we do to share our samples and in many cases one of kinds with our loyal readers, fans, followers and customers who covet the chase of the good deal.
With that, Please find here your Stick Me Sample designs. Please note that because there is only a couple in some cases only 1 of each design, time is of the essence. If you’d like one of the sample carrying cases please email me at:
info[at]stickmedesigns.com
if your choice is still available I’ll shoot you a payment request email.
Pink Gator: faux leather ‘Original’ wristlet
Measures approximately: 4″ x 7″
$29.99
The Accent Deluxe Clutch:
One panel is accented with the Onyx Jungle Print.
$34.99
This design could actually become a small collection of limited edition bags, in other fabrics.
I’m kinda likin’ the look of just the accent panel on these…whatdaya think?
More Diabetes Meter Cases…coming soon!

It’s that time of year when we start the design process of adding new Stick Me Designs accessories and designs. We have a few fabrics picked out, and will be uploading those for you to view. As always we will look for your input on the fabrics you like and don’t like. It only makes
sense that you get to choose the fabrics because ultimately it’s You who will get the function and satisfaction from them.
So if you’re not on the facebook fan page, go ‘Like’ us so you too can have a say!
p.s <— those are just examples…not the actual fabrics…unless you like those of course
